If the speculation is correct that we're in negotiations with Mithra for the purchase of the rights to Donesta in the US and the purchase of the rights to future royalties and milestones, I hope that we hold tough on these negotiations.
Mithra believes that the US market for HRT menopause drugs represents 57% by value of the world market. Gedeon Richter paid 55M euros (about A$92 M) so Mithra will be expecting north of A$100 M. Mayne Pharma will be arguing on a population basis that Gedeon Richter's rights represent coverage of about $1.7 billion people and the US market is 330 million, so they'll be arguing for A$20 M. Let's see what transpires.
If we get a deal on Donesta, it will be competing with Bijuva and we will have large launch costs when it is eventually approved by the FDA so I am not sure whether it fits in the portfolio but maybe there's key differences that I am unaware of. I'd like to see the purchase of the rights of future royalties and milestones happen if we can get that for a good price.
