I'm still wondering about this.. If it was some kind of ETF or index buyers, that explains the buying - but what about the sellers.. where did they suddenly appear from to facilitate like $45m of shares being traded at the close..?
no idea if this makes sense.. but a scenario that comes to mind could be that one or more of of the institutions that participated in the recent raise wanted out (selling at $1.30, they'd be picking up ~15% profit on the $1.15/share they paid), while another institution wanted in (or to increase an existing position) – and so, we have the buyer/s and seller/s, and they agreed to exchange the shares on the market, which is what we saw on Friday.
Really dunno if that is logical / makes sense.. just an uninformed hypothesis.. would be interested to hear what others more knowledgeable about the mechanics of these things reckon
