Warren Buffett's investment philosophy favoured acquiring 'cigar butt' companies – struggling businesses available at prices well below the book value of their assets. Buying companies at rock bottom prices provided a margin of safety, as the assets could be liquidated to generate a healthy return. Maybe NST might have same philosophy
