I’m talking about the investment process of an institutional fund manager. I’m not saying there aren’t leaks when deals are afoot. Crikey it’s common because too many people are involved for it to stay secret.
But the serious institutional investor does not play those games (commit those crimes) because a) they have ethics b) any return from trading those events is incremental at best and c) career ending if caught.
