Update: the final vote tally, which includes live votes made during the meeting as well as proxy votes, showed very little change. The yes votes apparently increased by 90,587, but that included 83,907 open proxies that PG pocketed- so only 6,880 new votes in favour. There were 42,291 new votes against the resolution during the meeting. Thus the final tally is little changed from the 99.65% above. It’s disappointing that nearly 10m shares were not voted. As RG said 151 holders had lodged proxy votes I doubt if more than 180 holders voted in total, directly or by proxy. It’s sad and incredible that nearly 90% of PGH’s 1600+ investors thus didn’t bother to vote- perhaps they were too depressed to care. Welldone to all shareholders who DID tell the Board what they thought of its absurdrecommendation and shameful behaviour.
