Hey Bandit. I use Australiansuper Member Direct. That allows me to buy and sell shares myself that are listed on the ASX down to the ASX300 level. For each of the past two years I have achieved 50% + growth each year while AustralianSuper’s balanced fund made a loss last year (they haven’t reported on this year yet of course). I feel that I am quite conservative however bought Galaxy and Ocobre early and Liontown at just over $1.00. As I was in control I sold all of my shares right before the Covid crash and bought back a few weeks later in time for the big rises. I stay on the pulse, I believe if you want to self manage you need to be ready to move quickly should it be necessary. I feel so much better being in charge of my own money as no one cares as much about your retirement fund than you do! Just waiting for the September rebalance when I’m confident LRS will move up to the ASX300 and hoping the SP doesn’t get too high before then!
