If they find enough dirt under Gilbeys pit the Waste dump will cease to be an issue as they will just bulk mine it from under the surface.
I think Simon is very cognisant of Gilbeys future potential for a bulk underground mining operation.
The re-start capex would increase substantially however the increase in mineable grade and waste movement would reduce Opex substantially.
SL might soon be talking about a sub $1,500 AISC operation with a minimum 10-year mine life base case if under the pit continues to light up around the multiple structural zones.
