I can only speak from my personal experience when there are names cropping up, related to all parties, conflicts of interest tends to become apparent and it doesn't end well. This includes in past companies I've invested in but identified concerns early. However I do also realise people on boards can be associated with multiple companies. I'm not calling any conspiracy - just asking questions like others.
Anyhow - looks like Jody Dahrouge likes MEI and gives a little plug! Good interview. Interestingly, he doesn't share Elon's view on his batteries, but also points out the difficulty in ree development which is important.
