Hi @2ic
Do you care to rehash our old sparing and address your friendly taunts at me about being the prophet of doom for the markets in light of the current market falls (ie the end is Nigh comment and all that stuff). I've noticed two things. One that you've been copping a bit of flak around your ongoing promotion of your favourite couple of stocks, which aren't travelling that well despite your high hopes, and two that you've dropped off the radar on WAF. It would seem from WAF's company announcements that these are very exciting times for WAF, with gold production starting and a reaffirmation of the 300koz production target for the first year. Surely considering these claims and the current price of gold, WAF on the face of it should be looking pretty good amongst its peers. Why is it that you have dropped your support, at least as far as promoting its prospects on HotCopper. I bailed on 75% of my personal account holdings based on the jihadists killings on that SEMAFO convoy which closed the mine. Just too big an event to justify the risk for me at that time.
It would seem to me that if any gold producer is going to shine over the next 12 months it should be WAF if it can fulfil its promises. I'd say if it doesn't disappoint like many other have, it should become more immune to the bad market conditions than almost any other stock on ASX. The cash generation promises if met should rerate the stock considerably IMO. I'm not yet a buyer again but it is one that I'm watching at the same time as watching this bubble market unravel. You are clearly more of a speculator than me, why aren't you shouting WAF's merits from the roof tops at the moment, surely if the directors can be trusted you should be. What are your thoughts and why are you wasting your time in those less advanced hopefuls. We can categorise the entire market as hopeful at the moment, hopeful that Fed money printing can pull the market out of the abyss so hopeful companies big, small and otherwise are the majority of the market at the moment. To survive in such a market you need more than just hope, you need the capacity to generate earnings and those earnings need to represent good value per share. The market will eventually and soon IMO revert to understanding these old school norms, once the froth in valuations have been blown away by a big old fashioned reality check.Esh
