When you have the grade WAF has you can afford to make a lot of mistakes and still succeed. Having said this WAF are doing everything in a professional way and making sure that there are going to be no bad surprises.
The resource proving better than modelled is something I really want to see. Better to get it wrong by being too conservative rather than being too aggressive and coming up short.
