The video has only just been released so the data is up to date and I highly recommend it to all holders of Lithium stocks.

And the difficulty in detailing the extent of the shortfall is well explained. Goldman and Sachs clearly used this confusion to their advantage a couple of months ago. Investing in hard rock and brines at the current rate is not going to be sufficient, as we can already predict, with a high degree of certainty, that production capacity will not meet future demand. We will run out of useable Lithium in the 2030s unless companies also invest in battery recycling, which they are doing. We also need our governments to issue incentives, which they are now doing.

Note that the documentary makers exclude clay-hosted Lithium deposits as a viable source because they have not yet been proven economic to extract.
