One doesn't know what conversations have taken place behind close doors between BRN and the likes of NVIDIA, Intel, IBM etc.
They may well have sounded out BRN about a technology deal but the terms may have been too restrictive. The result might have been that the Gorillas said "Ok, if you think you can make it on your own, so be it."
I agree that NVIDIA etc.pointedly exclude any mention of BRN in their performance comparison charts. I don't think they can stop BRN "making it" but, they will try to hold them back for as long as possible.
Unrelated, but in a podcast CEO Sean said that BRN were not looking at the server market (BRN are focusing on Edge applications) but did say BRN may well be drawn to the server market by the need for power efficiency. The AI workloads in server farms will only increase (despite handing off a lot of the work to the Edge) and power efficiency is everything in server farms.
It's a potential future market.
