They never set guidance. They also haven't given a break down of what was earned where and what was spent where. It's up to brokers and investors imagination for what that looks like. Half year and full year reports will provide that transparency.
I agree, my mistake was not understanding just how high expectations were from the street. Taking the result at face value, it's exactly what I want to see from the company and management. ANZ was a bit light, but the U.S is where I think investors should be focused. We are in a different economic enviornment here, which will hopefully turn soon.
