This is all about ease of use and importantly first mover advantage. The Sapien valve is balloon expandable and has bovine tissue which is much preferred over the harder to place self expanding Porcine tissue valve of Medtronic despite the MDT valve having better metrics than Sapien.
We have the best of both and more that neither have. One thing no one should doubt is just how much better DurAVR is than what is currently available. It is simply day and night, that simple.
