While European sellers were desperate to raise their ferrosilicon prices closer to the much more expensive US market, they are finding very difficult.  While one major seller was quoting over €2,000 and up to €2,200 per mt for commodity-grade ferrosilicon at recent tenders, buyers were able secure metal at €1,780-1,820 per mt, ddp.
