Germany's one-year forward caseload power price jumped over €400 per kWh--a new record. The current price is around 1,000% higher than the €41.1 per kWh between 2010 and 2022. French prices are up to €437.5.
OFZ could be the first causality of European power prices
The string OFZ was hanging on to just got more frayed. In July, the Slovakian ferroalloy producer announced that it stopped all its furnaces in July and had planned to restart one furnace starting in August. Now OFZ won’t restart the furnace and probably won’t for at least two months and then reassess.
