Does anybody dare to guess the NPAT and dividend to be announced in the OMH Financial Report in a few days time?
I'll start by saying I'm expecting A$80 million NPAT and a 2c dividend. ( any less will be disappointing).
Every year we think that this will be the year for OMH and each year theres always a problem ie, covid staff problems, staff need to go to China for New Year, furnaces need conversion and now all furnaces need maintenance/ refurbishing.
OMH management need to get their act together as every day that passes when the share price lags at 63c the more desirable the company becomes for a takeover. The rest of the world is experiencing major power issues and the masses are starting to realise the stupidity of their Governments chasing the elusive greenie renewable dream.
German Power Price Soars, Hitting 700 Euros for First Time Ever
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...e-soars-hitting-700-euros-for-first-time-ever
This has been in the making for years and people are starting to realise the stupidity of the current situation. Frankly, I don't think that current leaders in the EU have a clue what to do.
The fact is its going to get far worse, infact much worse and the options to fix the energy crisis in a short time frame is next to impossible.
The stupid decisions will go down in history and will be in text books 100 years from now.
Germany decides to tax the population more, is that really a solution?
"Germany has imposed two levies, one to help fund the higher gas procurement costs which importers are facing to replace lower Russian volumes, and one to beef up efforts to fill the country's storage facilities.
- The gas levy will cost an average family of four an additional annual 480 euros (US$482) a year based on annual consumption of 20,000 kilowatt hours, while another 13 euros come on top due to the gas storage levy. Both will kick in from Oct. 1."
The idiot German Government should've realised years ago that getting into bed with a past enemy was plain stupid, but greenie/socialists aren't known for their brain power.
":German spot power prices are up to €740 per MWh which is 14 times the five year average price. "
You definitely can't operate a smelter with power prices of €740 per MWh, it woud cost US$5,600/tonne just for power to produce one tonne of FeSi.
