Haha! I actually more or less resemble what you describe as the person doing the right thing, with my quite modest holding (though I suspect it's probably about 10x the trivial amount some hold, it's possibly only 1% of what some posters here have). I haven't exhaustively researched it and see it as fairly speculative. My holding and amount of posting here reflects that. However, I don't see anything wrong with people doing a lot of research into a company and its sector, investing heavily, following closely, and discussing intently. I've done that with other companies including one I'm heavily invested in right now.

If you think investing just comes down to scattering a lot of small amounts of money around and hoping for the best, with the expectation of at least some of your scattered money getting lucky, and not taking any of it seriously, I'd suggest you are the one doing it wrong. The only problem with people getting heavily invested is that their emotions tend to get in the way and cloud their judgement, but research and discussion is not a waste, and it makes no sense to discourage it. Sure, if it's flawed, by all means point out the flaws, but don't tell people they shouldn't be paying so much attention or taking it as seriously as they do; it's their money, their time, their effort, and their choice to spend all of that as they see fit.

From what I can see, AGY has the potential to be a heavy multibagger, and for those with substantial holdings it could be life changing. That's potentially worth investing your time as well as money in. Even for someone like me with a modest holding, in best case scenario this could be quite significant. The more research you do, the better you can allocate your investment funds. If you think discussion is pointless, go allocate your money at the TAB where no one is going to bother discussing your choices with you.
