Having done my research I would agree on many fronts:
1. I think the management team and the few that have supported them have a can-do attitude and also seem to hold a significant 26% of the company.
2. I think often a fresh view of often older industries can change the outcomes - I think the way they went about it was very unusual and I think the outcomes look far better than I would have expected.
3. I think it's a great idea to introduce a new product commercially.
However the negatives:
1. On all the fishing forums the angler seems to suggest that most catch and release and the few that have eaten Murray Cod don't rave about it. It received a 50% food rating but a 90% sporting rating from an anglers forum. The comment being encapsulated in this "Murray cod are recognised for their sporting abilities rather than their eating qualities."
2. The other side of that story seems to be why it's liked by Asian cuisine - They like to see what they are eating and the Cod can be kept alive in tanks ... They also like the fat content which is more evenly spread in farmed Cod. However, I am not sure that it is supplied live by any commercial supplier. Maybe its the fat content that they like...
3. To the recent financials - I hate it when a major event occurs - companies announce it and then at the next reporting date they no longer mention it... I think the company should have outlined how they treated the insurance dispute - did they accrue only the smaller offer by the insurance company or what they claimed?
4. I don't approve of a company in start-up creating deferred tax assets from losses - it's just plain wrong. They seem to have a quarter of a million assets from start-up losses to date. No, I did not confuse the R&D tax - they received roughly the same.
5. I must say that I was surprised by the number of existing smaller growers in Victoria - Not sure why they do it.
There was one standout article that stated it was great to eat and yet I am not sure that it was that first flush of its being a first for the writer...

I will be giving it a miss - it's just not for me. GLTAH - its time the small ones win...
