Gallois New Energy Materials (GNEM) — a subsidiary of Madagascar graphite miner Gallois Group — signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with SEDC Energy in Malaysia on Friday February 2 to build graphite anode precursors in Bintulu, Sarawak, according to the Sarawak Public Communications Unit. The plant located in Samalaju Industrial Park, Sarawak, will leverage local advantages such as low-cost and renewable hydropower, reducing the carbon footprint in manufacturing graphite products.
