In my post of 14 January I said "MRQ don't talk about any conditions relating to (mining) approval, so it does not appear that the Environmental study or any other issues need to be ticked off before construction can begin on Corridor Central"

However, the quarterly says that there is "an ongoing process of securing the mining licence" (see below). What this means is not entirely clear to me. My best guess is the environmental and social impact has to be ticked off first before mining can begin (not sure about whether construction leading to mining can go ahead earlier). The environmental and social impact assessment is expected to be finalised around Aug/Sept this year. Shortly after we may expect the clock to start ticking on SLC's commitment to get to 110,000 tonnes of production within 21 months. MRQ have stated that SLC expect to be mining in 2025.

So it all takes time. This may be a reason why the MRQ share price did not shoot higher on the announcement of the mining licence. I am patient and believe when things finally fall into place the MRQ share price will do just that.
