A little off topic, but I'd like to know the reason for it. Woodie Woodie mine in WA shipped 110,000 tonnes of Mn ore to Indonesia in April 2019. WHY? There has been 300,000 tonnes shipped in under 12 months.
Indonesia is supposed to have high grade Mn ore. Maybe somebody has started a Mn alloy plant there besides GMC?
Maybe the cost of Mn ore production is too expensive in Indonesia, and Mn ore is cheaper?
Makes you wonder why, anybody know?
I know its impossible for them to compete with OM Sarawak as the power/electricity price is triple in Indonesia.
Column 1 0 Mn Ore from WoodieWoodie Mine Shipped to Indonesia also in April 1 = About 110,000 tons of manganese ore from port of Port Hedland =[/B] 2 The customs statistics of Western Australia shows 110,000 tons of manganese ore was exported to Indonesia from the port of Port Hedland in April 2019. WoodiWoodi mine owned by CML is a main user of the port of Port Hedland to export manganese ore, and the shipments to Indonesia in May (101,350 tons) and November (42,000 tons) in the last year as well as this January (55,000 tons) were recorded.
