Iron Road Ltd (ASX:IRD) has tripled the reported iron ore resources at
its Central Eyre Iron Project (CEIP) in South Australia to 328Mt.
The resource increase flows from a program of drilling,
structural, geotechnical, geophysical and metallurgical investigations
designed to support the pre-feasibility study (PFS) scheduled for
completion in early 2011.
Iron Road has set a corporate goal of further increasing the
CEIP mineral resource to 500Mt of iron ore by year-end. After the latest
resource increase, Iron Road is confident of achieving this objective.
Coffey Mining has previously established an exploration target
of 2.8bn to 5.7bn tonnes of magnetite gneiss at the project.
