I owned Pilbara Minerals several times when it was a developer, buddy, and then kept most of 200,000 odd shares from 18c quite a long way before selling them. And those profits usefully offset several years of substantial losses due to me getting sucked into various companies where I listened to smart arse pumpers on HC and sometimes management feeding ‘big rock candy mountain’ lines to more naive investors with number games and ‘authorative’ know all talk.
What did I learn?
I learnt some people speak truth here and some fuzz it up.
I learnt to ride with good companies led by good management and to be proud of being invested in those companies.
I learnt that good technical analysis can sort the ‘pumpers’ from the truth of things with lines that cut through all the words like a knife through butter.
And I learned not to take it too seriously - even when people behave in a vile and abusive manner or I lose a heap.
I still have a solid amount of shares in AVL and I like the new management here very much and have faith in it and in what they say.
But as far as I’m concerned we’re still trading under the significant technical hurdle of 1.7c and I’ve seen major games being played with the price leading into this merge and since, and for all the ‘we’ve moved on’ stuff , I still see a lot of nastiness.
And it seems there is to be no Prime Minister-announced vanadium news today, despite my hopes, so I’ll watch with interest to see what’s next.
As far as the potential ‘75 year mine life equations’ on Hot Copper go … well despite your squeaks I don’t have to agree with them - as said, I’ll wait on Wood’s opinion and hope it supports those claims.
As far as your own long and protracted fantasies about me go, Lewis. - Well you obviously have a bit of an obsession and are unable to move on, nor apologise for significant personal abuse last year.
And yet you wave the word ‘defamation’ at me???
