They have changed the focus of exploration based on the information from the IP survey. IP surveys have been previously shown to assist with locating the strongest gold mineralisation at numerous locations in Alaska and Canada.
Aligning the two maps (using the creek lines and the grid markers) I was able to plot the location of the original exploration target area.
The point is that they are focusing drilling on where there is strength in the IP anomalies as shown by the IP survey.
They are also picking which IP anomalies they focus on based on how close they are to surface. As said above this is to target near-surface deposits that to try and achieve a low strip ratio. Very important for economics.
