The 3d IP chargeability shell almost certainly represents phyllic alteration (pyrite halo) around the porphyry and not the Copper mineralisation. Many porphyrys deposits around the world don’t give much of an IP response. Famously, Ridgeway (one of the highest grade Cu/Au porphyrys ever found) was discovered by drilling a mag/IP anomaly, but it was later concluded that the mag anomaly was just overlying basalt and the IP anomaly wasn’t the Ridgeway deposit either and remains unexplained. So basically it was found with the drill bit and a lot of persistence and geophysics only role was to encourage lots of drilling expenditure.
None the less, we already know that there is a porphyry there. Now it’s tine to drill.
