As at 15/June announcement Archer stated that they were in the International Phase of the patent granting procedure, which is the first of two main phases, the second being the National Phase. However, it now appears to me that Archer have accelerated their biosensor Intellectual Property (IP) technology under the WIPO application process.
This is fantastic news because what I believe Mohammed is alluding to in the video, is that they are so completely confident in their IP that it has passed the examination process with flying colours and it is now in the 'publishing' phase. If I’m not mistaken, this is the usually 3 month 'advertising' process to allow for any objections. Meanwhile, they can continue to develop and fine tune the hardware technology.
If so, this is very exciting because given that there are very few materials of this kind in existence capable of performing biosensing as rapidly and accurately for human health diagnostics as this one, it means that, provided there are no objections, the IP will be approved shortly after. Therefore commercialisation could be much closer than we may think.
