The sentiment is the equity markets is fickle in general. Throw in the unpredictable elements of O&G exploration and you have a fairly lethal cocktail mix of highly volatile environment in terms of shareholder sentiments. It wasn't as if SN went out of his way to pump up SE with bad data. The drill data was there for all to see. It was so surprising that it caught almost everyone out, including all the prof equity analysts.

There are times when it seems a company can do no wrong and next thing you know, they can't do a thing right. The flip side of that can also happen just as quickly, especially when there is sound fundamentals in the company and its equity is steeply discounted. Value always comes through eventually, one way or another.
