All info is limited. We only ever get part of the story.

So much time is wasted on HC by people questioning others motives. And it is against the TOU, which say that we should discuss the stock not other posters.

"If people want to be altruistic wouldn't showing them impressive stocks be preferred over telling others to avoid?"

No. Both are good, obviously. But the key to staying in the market is to avoid losses, because they are harder to make up. If you lose 50%, you have to double your money just to get back to where you started.
