Reedy's is an operating gold mine with a good quality unsealed access road that joins Great Northern Highway just north of Tuckanarra. I believe the AVL plan was to construct a good quality road from *Nintha to Reedy's and use their existing road to Great Northern Hwy.
A separate project is to realign the Meeka - Sandstone road as we will need to dig up ore underneath a few kilometers of the existing road.
Nannine is a big hole in the ground on a ridge that has impressive views of Yagahong Hill in the distance. You can still visit the old Nannine townsite from Great Northern Hwy.
