I wish hotcopper had a ‘haha’ react. If you can’t understand that people are able to buy cheap shares in risky businesses, and that this doesn’t make them freeloaders when it appreciates in value as it derisks, you shouldn’t be posting on hotcopper, let alone investing in equities markets. They also didn’t “receive” these shares, they bought them (or in the case of employees, were paid these shares in lieu of a wage).
