Hey East, are you jaded by a recent T/O in West Africa? I appreciate the differing opinion in regards to a potential torturous corporate event, though, I think this will play out differently. I think TIEs project is looking at a mine life of 10 years, with a 250,000+ production profile, if you include the heap leach (though... I also feel that they are likely to get close to 250,000 p.a due to the upsized plant). I am not so much focused on the first year, though I guess the huge increase in cashflow (planned...) will see it become cash rich quickly, and hopefully enable TIE to start picking up low hanging fruit (small cap explorers with what I think will become mines, though perhaps not the same size as TIE) nearby.
You could of course be right about a Chinese T/O, though Cardinal got what I view as a very good price for an asset that won't be in production for a long time... TIE is going to pour bars in less than 4 months.
I do view TIE as higher risk than say WAF during its development, but... if they even get close to their first year guidance, they are going to generate a crazy amount of cash.
