While you can and probably should be skeptical about broker valuations, they can be an excellent source of information to build your own valuation models. While I have not found the price a broker puts out to be particularly useful, the deltas on an update are quite useful.

I would add that while most broker valuations are “optimistic”, on occasion they can be excessively pessimistic especially if they have just missed out on book running a placement.
