Sears mentioned that the locals in that area(around Zeehan)are very pro mining and seem to welcome any new mining activity. Having sad that, your typical Greeny will travel across the entire width of Australia for the chance of a protest an an uneducated whim. I believe that the area has alot of open grassland, could be wrong, willing to stand corrected if incorrect.
