The hardware Device XVD (generation 1) will be showing only Air Flow (ventilation). its less radiation than a normal X-ray machine by a factor of 0.1 and can scan more patients -XVD takes few seconds to do a scan,m and you dont need to hold your breath during the scan.
These are the benefits.
The second generation of the hardware will be RADIATION FREE, and will show perfusion VQ onto of Ventilation XV.
IMO this announcement is more about the VQ rather than CT LVAS, refer to Andreas Foras comments in the announcement.
