4DMedical unveiled an operational 4D lunger scanner using its proprietary XV Technology yesterday, company CEO Andreas Fouras joined us this afternoon to take us through the details. The company’s XV scanner has been installed in the Research Imaging facility in NSW at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick. The company’s XV Technology is already being commercialised, and the company expects the scanner to be ready for clinical deployment in late 2023. Andrea considers the introduction of the scanner to be a seismic shift in the health landscape - expecting the XV scanner to join the established elite of medical scanners, CT and MRI among them. We ask Andreas about how the company plans to capture market share in the United States, as well as the regulatory hurdles the company faces ahead of deployment. So where does 4DMedical go beyond the lung scanner coming to market?
