"There is a very common life cycle of greed and fear. It goes something like this."

- First you assume good news is permanent.
- Then you become oblivious to bad news.
- Then you ignore bad news.
- Then you deny bad news.
- Then you panic at bad news.
- Then you accept bad news.
- Then you assume bad news is permanent.
- Then you become oblivious to good news.
- Then you ignore good news.
- Then you deny good news.
- Then you accept good news.
- Then you assume good news is permanent.
- And we're back at where we began.

I feel like as the previous 3 years before last were all filled with horrible announcements, a lot of people are at the "Oblivious to good news stage".

And heres one about technology.

"There's a typical path of how people respond to what eventually becomes world changing new technology"

- I've never heard of it
- I've heard of it, but don't understand it.
- I understand it, but dont see how it's useful
- I see how it could be fun for rich people, but not me.
- I use it, but it's just a toy.
- It's becoming more useful for me.
- I use it all the time.
- I could not imagine life without it.
- Seriously, people lived without it?
- It's too powerful it needs to be regulated.

"it's very difficult to envision what one small invention has the potential to become one day.

"Big innovations don't come at once, but rather are built up slowly when several small innovations are combined over time. Edison wasn't a grand planner, he was a prolific tinkerer....... Edison for example, did not invent the first lightbulb. He just greatly improved upon what others had built" (paraphrased)

Now obviously the technological adaptation steps aren't all directly applicable to 4DS but it is good food for thought.

"Google Maps, Turbotax and instagram all wouldnt be possible without ARPANET, a 1960's department of defense project linking computers to manage cold war secrets, which became the foundation for the internet".

And that paragraph is why I am not phased about nobody talking about 4DS yet. If our target market is likely as huge as I think it is, then in time it will speak for itself.
