Well, who honestly thought it was going to be an information desert from now until PL5 was out of the fab...

What a fantastic announcement - they are going beyond the initial testing and analysis and playing with how they control electrical impulses to the memory to get better performance out of PL4 chips. And all they have discussed at the moment is the write speed.

As an analogue - they received the "Ferrari" from the factory last year, took it to the track without making any adjustments to the car and their resident Stig pulled off a lap record. Now they've come back to the track with a unique suspension tune and the excess weight cut out and smashed the record again.

What happens when they start looking at tweaks to improve the read speed? I note that that information is absent from this announcement.
