I get your point, but I would be assuming that the drive towards edge AI and IoT would be more distributed processing of specific data and then further possible processing at a cloud level. The focus would be data reduction at the sensor or device level in this case. AI for control for such things as autonomous driving might be different but again I think these could be built in discrete packages for certain functions and overall control by central processing. After all a car is generally made up of many components from different manufacturers. To me edge AI is all about data reduction at the source which provides more efficient processing of information.
