Yes it seemed the partner thing was a purely transactional venture. it's terminology only since Peter has been onboard, so it my be an American term being for, that the acquirer will "partner' in NDA's as well as their own testing of performance, but in no way was it financial involved in 4DS, just and purely transactional.
A question was asked for how long would an acquirer be able to test and co develop and it seems after test accuracy prove, sale will be taught, no development further.
60nm is saleable 20 nm is the fruit.
