my expectations regarding retention were between a few hundred milliseconds and a few days.
my impression of market expectations were more in the days-weeks range, being not good enough for permanent storage but good enough for middle ground between flash and ram on iot devices etc.

my expectations personally were more pessimistic, based on my knowledge of whats out there currently, and the reluctance of the company to release this information.

I still view it as a positive, as with this information revealed its possible to calculate cost savings in datacenter applications and consider potential new applications that could leverage the properties of the device now that the company has seen fit to provide a useful metric.

its also plausable we'll see better than expected scaling... but I feel we wont see any re-rate till the 20nm fab is successful.
