Well, well well.......... that presentation paints a very rosy picture . Many of the questions we have been seeking answers too are now out in the open for all to see. Very very exciting times folks.
I got chatting to a German tourist a few days ago (who just happens to be a computer engineer specialising in A.I, based in Germany). In relation to A.I, he was telling me about the bottlenecks in areas like memory and the concerns about high energy use and also costs associated with that. I told him about our memory technology and the metrics that have been officially released, and his response was
very telling...He said " Nooooooo that's not possible!! , I would have heard about this"......... "is this just a theory or is it proven " ....................???
I went on to tell him it was being developed in conjunction with IMEC, with input from Stanford University, that a Megabit chip was produced and tested at 60nm to get these results, and went on to tell him they were trying to scale it down to 20nm. He was 'genuinely' astonished !!!! He said " if this is real then it could have a massive impact on the A.I chip industry. It could change everything ..... the architecture of A.I chips ....... everything". Needless to say, I gave him the details of the 4DS website...... by now he would have seen the presentation as well i'm sure...... and he is already talking to his colleagues back home.
What struck from my conversation was that what we have here has been successfully kept under wraps well enough that the industry at his level at least appears to know very little to nothing about it !!! Perhaps with this release of information today the tide has turned enough for a significant re-rate !
The word is out ...... and I wonder what sort of speculative investing will now follow.
This is not financial/investing advice ............BUT ..... I am very excited. I hadn't anticipated, let alone fully considered this clear pivot to A.I. amongst all of the other potential markets we have been targeting.
Now imagine ....... a bidding war between Nvidia and Intel .............just WOW !!!!
I might just be happy to take (1) Nvidia share for every (40) 4DS shares............ just sayin.
