The why?, I believe, is because the wafers (Non Platform Lots) are what you test to confirm performance figures (best or otherwise).. Speed & Endurance being the priority followed by Retention.

Began with the additional Lot & finishes with the latest.

3rd lot seals the deal that the 2nd non platform (which reported on the additional wafers) was repeated or hopefully bettered.

2 points only indicate a direction, or trajectory, 3 points confirm it.. !!
