"This talk will focus on the factors that have led to the success of these incumbents (current RAM) and the odds of them being replaced, even in customized or narrow applications. Finally, the changing role of start-ups, universities, and consortia in both maintaining and upending the status quo will be examined."
Talking about the odds of being replaced and start-ups, I like where this is going.
