Dude - the tech works -

- They got it to work in a non-fab, laboratory setting, demonstrating it could meet the requirements of SCM.

- IMEC took the development work on only when 4DS could demonstrate those metrics were achievable. They are a development organisation, not a pure research lab. Their purpose is to bring new technology that works in a laboratory setting to commercialisation.

- Using industry standard fab equipment, they have been able to develop a process window for 4DS RERAM - that is, the "Cookbook"

- The have achieved switching in megabit arrays, even if the platform lot encountered problems (latest platform lot)

- They took the process window and applied it to the absolute best equipment available - that allows scaling of nodes down to sub 10nm in size and managed to increase the read speed by a factor of 10X. That's an astounding result.

So at the moment they are having some problems mounting the "engine" (the array) into the race car (the megabit platform), to use an analogy. That is a problem that they will work out - but it doesn't change the fact the engine runs on the bench astoundingly well.
