There's a whole lot more to like than dislike in the announcment:-

-Fully compatible with state of the art DRAM and NAND production processes

-boost in read speed
Wouldn't mind someone explaining what "an up to one order of magnitude boost" means in layman terms?
Is this exponential as everything in the world currently seems to be or linear?

- 2nd platform scaling to IMEC's minimum geometry and memory switching, which is state of the art so has to be as small as is available

-Update requested by Western Digital

- Even though there was a technical hitch, it seems to have not impeded progess.

Further there was $4.3m in the bank as at June 30 so the CR mooted in discussion seems premature.
Also I think it was Tex who said IMEC had an "oh s&*t" moment, so maybe they can come to the party on costs for the 3rd platform lot, I'm probably dreaming there though.

On the negative it seems we're always in a holding pattern, a lockdown of sorts one might say.
I also quite often wonder how the sale process would proceed.
