They do reiterate in today's presentation that SCM will supplement DRAM & NAND rather than take away market share from those technologies.
however, at the recent Flash Memory Summit Intel confirmed that DRAM requirements were reduced when used in conjunction with their SCM product, Optane. If I find the presentation with this detail on it I'll quote this post and paste the image in.
