Montney who? From an expected monetization announcement posted in media for early 2022 they're now talking 'first production...2025' but depending on whether they secure a joint venture partner. Board commentary from the Chair on Montney has been misleading at best, an outright lie at worst. The Montney commentary they've given is an offering of crumbs to keep shareholders on the hook for the the idea of a monetizing event only. Nothing more. A sale would appear elusive, the only mention now is of a possible joint venture. That's not as broad as what they were telling the market previously & it's been pushed out potentially for years. Liquids rich Montney acreage is sort after- there's no shortage of deals being completed so I have no idea how to read this but it begs the simple question....'why'...can't they nail a deal? The market is receptive to deals currently. This now looks like a slow grind predicated on operational performance going forward (which they have yet to demonstrate) and a supportive commodity pricing environment which of course nobody has control over. Fingers crossed for both (not exactly a well grounded investment basis- this is a punt). Awaiting the next two quarterlies to ascertain whether they've managed to hit production targets and resultant cashflow....or move them again. I wish I had the enthusiasm of other posters but I'm keeping my eyes wide open here & refuse to be dismissive of repetitive missed targets whether they be operational with respect to production, cashflow or asset monetization.
