    No, the R&D tax credit is a different beast to the JMEI, as it (the R&D) is a cash refund paid to GRL for eligible research and development expenses incurred during the 22/23 FY. The JMEI is a program that allows junior explorers to 'pass on' on exploration expenses as tax deductions to SH's (because the explorer isn't in a position, and won't be for some time, to claim those expenses as a deduction). So under the JMEI, it's the SH that claims the deduction.

    The exploration expenses passed on to SH's under the JMEI are different to those expenses claimed by GRL under the R&D scheme.
