Pointless speculation now I guess but can't avoid the thought that better mgt of the asset may have resulted in a cleaner financing/offtake agreement before it became so critical. Exactly why did it take so long to define a relatively small JORC?
Don't lose sight that 16% of the project is now free carried and 100% of the development financing can only be supported by 84% of project value and only 64% of product remains available to attract that finance.
Given the most likely source of finance is a major end user looking to secure future supply the ST gain may be LT pain.
The fact the market has not placed any real value on the deal today speaks volumes IMO.
